Their need

In line with a circular economy approach and the acceleration of sustainable fuel production, Elyse Energie needs to obtain new funding to complement the fundraising in December 2024.

Our Solution

At the Choose France Summit – French edition, Elyse Energy, a French industrial SME specializing in the production of sustainable fuels, announced an additional €70 million in funding for two strategic projects: eM-Rhône, in Isère, and BioTJet (E-CHO), in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. This funding, obtained from four French banks – Société Générale, also acting as financial advisor, Bpifrance, Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, and Caisse d'Épargne CEPAC – benefits from the support of Bpifrance Assurance Export, a subsidiary of Bpifrance, acting on behalf of, for, and under the control of the French State, through the Strategic Project Guarantee (GPS).

The GPS helps secure financing for operations that are of strategic interest to the French economy, both in France and abroad. It supports projects that promote reindustrialization and French sovereignty, particularly in new sustainable sectors.

Result

The €70 million in funding will support Elyse Energy's two most advanced projects:
• eM-Rhône, dedicated to the production of e-methanol for maritime transport and industry, located on the
Roches-Roussillon chemical platform (Isère);
• BioTJet, dedicated to the production of sustainable aviation fuels on the Lacq basin (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), developed in partnership with Axens, IFP Énergies nouvelles and the Avril group.
