Météo France International
French expertise serving forecasting in Kuwait. A strategic €37 million contract supported by Bpifrance to modernize meteorological services.
Their need
Météo France International (MFI), a subsidiary of Météo-France, specializes in providing systems and services for modernizing meteorological infrastructure. The company was approached by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh for a project to modernize its weather forecasting and warning system to strengthen aviation safety and resilience to climate risks.
Our Solution
MFI, a subsidiary of Météo-France specializing in hydrometeorological services, signed a €2024 million contract in June 37. To secure its execution, Bpifrance Assurance Export implemented a series of guarantees: a performance bond, an advance payment bond, and an exchange rate hedging service. These instruments helped secure the project and facilitate its implementation.
Export Bond Insurance
Provide your foreign buyers with the necessary guarantees to win your export contracts.
Result
Thanks to these guarantees, MFI was able to quickly begin the deployment of an integrated and efficient information system for Kuwait. This success reinforces the attractiveness of French expertise in the digital public services sector and positions MFI as a key player in climate transformation on an international scale.
