Bpifrance is securing an award-winning operation for a major player in aviation.

Their need

Aircraft engine manufacturer CFM International has signed a maintenance contract with Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines for the CFM 56-7B engines powering its fleet. This contract covers both maintenance services and the supply of spare parts. To secure this strategic transaction and offer innovative financing solutions to its customers, CFM International needed a mechanism to guarantee the financing of the contract.

Our Solution

Bpifrance Assurance Export provided support by guaranteeing the financing of the contract through a 3-year buyer's credit arranged by Société Générale. This guarantee plays a key role in covering the financing risk and enabling CFM International to offer attractive solutions to Pegasus Airlines.

Result

With this transaction, CFM International strengthens its relationship with Pegasus Airlines, the first airline to take delivery of an A320 equipped with the LEAP engine, and paves the way for new financing solutions for its maintenance contracts.
