The exporter The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection wanted to expand its fleet with a new-generation superyacht, the Ilma, a luxury vessel meeting demanding environmental standards. This project required complex financing, commensurate with the technological and quality requirements expected by the foreign buyer.
Our Solution
Bpifrance Assurance Export intervened through buyer credit insurance, set up to finance the acquisition of Ilma. This financing was structured by a pool of French and international banks, led by Crédit Agricole CIB. This public guarantee helped secure the transaction and instill confidence in the financial partners, allowing Chantiers de l'Atlantique to complete this flagship order.

Result
On September 2, 2024, Ilma set sail from Monte Carlo for its maiden Mediterranean cruise. Capable of accommodating up to 448 passengers and powered by LNG, this vessel exemplifies French industrial excellence. A second yacht, the Luminara, will join this prestigious fleet in June 2025.
