Bpifrance Assurance Export at the heart of the Sizewell C project
[PRESS RELEASE]
France is strengthening its support for the nuclear industry by guaranteeing a £5 billion loan for the Sizewell C project in the United Kingdom, led by EDF and its partners.
This guarantee, provided by Bpifrance Assurance Export, secures financing granted by a pool of 13 leading international banks, including HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking as lead bank and coordinator of the French export credit agency. It covers up to 95% of French companies' export contracts against the risk of non-payment.
