Bpifrance Assurance Export, a subsidiary of Bpifrance, is the French export credit agency.
We support French companies and their banking partners in the success of their international projects, by securing the risks associated with exports.
Our mission to serve French companies internationally
We promote access for French companies to international markets:
- By offering a complete range of insurance products and guarantees at each stage of the export cycle
- By providing financial institutions with public guarantees on the export operations they finance, which reduces their exposure to risks and facilitates the mobilization of financial resources in favor of exporters.
Bpifrance Assurance Export manages public export guarantees in the name, on behalf of, and under the supervision of the French government. We contribute to the government's economic policy by strengthening the competitiveness of French companies abroad, supporting their growth, and stimulating job creation nationwide.
Every year, we help secure several billion euros in orders placed with exporters and make it possible to conclude commercial contracts that meet our eligibility criteria.

Multilateral framework and international cooperation
The OECD and the European Union regulate public support for exports. This helps ensure fair competition between exporters from different countries while promoting responsible practices.
We are a member of theBerne Union, the international association of leading public and private players in the field of export credit insurance and international investment insurance.
We also participate in the work of the betting club, as representative of the French State in the management of public debts linked to exports.

Environmental and social assessment
An environmental and social analysis is systematically integrated into the examination of projects eligible for public coverage.
This assessment, carried out according to the standards of the OECD and other international institutions, aims to limit negative impacts on the environment, biodiversity, human rights or local communities.
This commitment reflects Bpifrance Assurance Export's desire to reconcile export support and social responsibility, and to promote sustainable economic development on a global scale. In this context, Bpifrance Assurance Export is actively engaged in global initiatives, such as the Equator Principles (EP) and the NZECA Alliance for Carbon Neutrality.
